Pop Mythology examines the mythology of America through the language, ideals, and contradictions embedded within its founding narratives. Drawing upon the Declaration of Independence, the work explores how concepts of liberty, equality, and justice have been interpreted and reinterpreted through historical, cultural, and institutional lenses, questioning whom these ideals have served and whom they have excluded.
Through wordplay, familiar symbols, and contemporary imagery, the series challenges the distance between America's foundational promises and their lived realities. By examining the institutions that both protect and undermine these ideals, Pop Mythology considers how national identity is constructed, perpetuated, and contested through the stories a nation tells about itself.
