Craig van den Bosch is a multidisciplinary artist based in Seattle working across ceramics, installation, photography, print, and collage-based media. His work examines the industrial, ecological, and cultural systems that shape contemporary landscapes and the narratives through which societies understand progress, extraction, and responsibility.
Drawing on imagery gathered from industrial sites, infrastructure, and resource networks throughout the Pacific Northwest, van den Bosch transforms documentation into objects and installations that blur the boundaries between artifact, evidence, and symbol. His projects explore relationships between industrial development, environmental consequence, and knowledge systems, while also engaging themes at the intersection of science, biology, and emerging technological futures. Several bodies of work incorporate speculative and science fiction visual narratives that examine the concept of technological singularity and the merging of human and machine systems.
Van den Bosch has exhibited at venues including SHIFT Gallery in Seattle and AMcE Creative Arts’ Niche Gallery. His work has been featured at the Seattle Art Fair in multiple years and is included in the collection of Seattle University. He completed a yearlong residency at Seattle’s Pacific Science Center and will present work in an upcoming exhibition at Ryan James Fine Arts in Kirkland in November 2026. He holds an MFA and previously worked as a museum educator at the Seattle Art Museum.
He is also the co-founder of Microverse Press, a small press publishing project focused on collaborative, collage-based graphic publications. His illustration work has appeared in the comics publication Scarfff.
Van den Bosch lives and works in Seattle, Washington.
